PACE Leader
Are you interested in supporting new moms in the transition to parenthood? Do you have your own parenting stories and experiences that you could share as educational vignettes to connect to the researched parenting methods and data that we share in groups? Do you believe that it takes a village and you want to help build that village for others? Do you have a specific interest in perinatal mental health and postpartum supports for moms and families? Do you have experience leading groups? If so, PACE may be a great fit for you!
As a new leader you will co-lead postpartum support groups for 10-12 new mothers. Guided by a curriculum, each week you will cover a different topic through informal discussion rather than lecture format. Based on your experience, expertise, and knowledge as both a clinician and a mom, you will present a combination of factual information and personal vignettes. Above all, PACE leaders strive to create a nurturing, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment to encourage participants to share and connect with one another.
