  WORKSHOPS FOR NEW & SECOND TIME MOTHERS                                 

Groups: First Time Mothers

v  The groups are limited to eleven women and their infants. The babies ages are between two weeks and five months of age.

  v  Our workshops for first time mothers meet for eight two-hour sessions.

Weekly Discussion Topics: Session1: Personal Stories-How did you get to this place in time? Session 2: Eating, Sleeping & Crying Session 3: The Attachment/Bonding Process Session 4: Temperament & Play Session 5: Changing Relationships Session 6: Family Session-Families getting together.  Session 7: Limit Setting & Physical Safety Session 8: Where do we go from here?  We encourage the new mothers to get together at other times during the week.

The Baby           · Eating, Sleeping  & Crying –  That’s what they do! · The attachment/bonding   process and separation steps-   Can you spoil an infant? · Temperament & Play- What   does the baby need to do all    day? · Physical safety measures &    emotional limit setting issues-    How do you set limits with an   infant?
